Regular maintenance extends the life of any sports surface and ensures safe, consistent play. This seasonal checklist covers the essentials for hard courts, clay courts, and synthetic surfaces.

Spring Maintenance

• Inspect for winter damage — cracks, heaving, drainage issues
• Power wash hard court surfaces to remove algae and debris
• Rebuild clay court surfaces and check irrigation systems
• Touch up line markings and repair net systems
• Check lighting fixtures and replace burned-out bulbs

Summer Maintenance

• Water clay courts daily, preferably in the morning
• Remove organic debris promptly to prevent staining
• Monitor synthetic turf temperatures and apply cooling treatments if needed
